Countryside Properties has been involved for more than 20 years in a diverse range of urban regeneration initiatives that promote sustainable communities through mixed-use and mixed-tenure development.

Urban regeneration in Chertsey

Major Initiatives

The Group is delivering major developments in London, the Thames Gateway and the Northern Way and we are progressing a number of important urban regeneration initiatives:

  • Three schemes as part of the London Wide Initiative with English Partnerships to deliver 1,400 homes.
  • One of three ‘panel’ developers of the London Borough of Newham for the urban regeneration of Canning Town and Custom House.
  • The Design for Manufacture competition which is being managed by English Partnerships, on behalf of the DCLG.
  • One of a panel of lead developers working with RENEW North Staffs which is one of nine Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder projects in the UK.
  • One of a panel of developers chosen by English Partnerships, to bring brownfield land back into productive use in the North.

Estate Regeneration

We also utilise our unique skills and expertise in undertaking a broad range of mixed-tenure estate regeneration schemes with Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords, to bring new life to run-down urban areas such as the Peckham Partnership in London and Lower Broughton in Salford.

Smaller scale schemes

As well as contributing to large-scale projects, we are also involved in numerous smaller schemes that are important for successful urban regeneration.

"This is the culmination of more than 12 years work with Countryside Properties to rejuvenate what everyone had recognised as a very run down area. We really think the revitalisation has been a major success for the town, not only in physical improvements, but also the new job opportunities and homes."
