Planning consent has been secured and work is underway on a 2.3 million sq. ft. of biomedical and medical research space, together with further clinical accommodation on a site adjacent to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge - Europe's largest teaching hospital.
The Cambridge Biomedical Campus is an international centre of excellence in biomedical research providing unparelled commercial opportunities. Current occupiers include: The University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine; Cambridge University Hospitals; The Wellcome Trust; The Medical Research Council; Cancer Research UK; GlaxoSmithKline and Papworth Hospital (anticipated in 2014) . The Cambridge Biomedical Campus is a joint venture development with Liberty Property Trust.
Current and Forthcoming Developments
Countryside Properties under a joint venture with Liberty Property Trust and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have received planning consent for the development of 70 acres of land adjacent to the existing Addenbrooke's Hospital on the southern fringe of Cambridge.
