Countryside Properties won the 'Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year' at the first Building Sustainability Awards which were held on 2 November at the Hilton Hotel, London. In addition, we were runners-up in the 'Best Corporate Social Responsibility Report' and 'Responsible Employer of the Year' categories.
The Judges said, "This is the latest in a long line of awards for Countryside. This over stacked mantelpiece can be simply explained: the firm has a policy of setting daunting sustainability performance targets and then doing everything it possible can to hit them. We were not the only people impressed by this performance: Countryside came top out of 13 housebuilders surveyed by the WWF for sustainability and the Company is sought after to contribute to numerous sustainability initiatives, including the ODPM's Code for Sustainable Building."
