Secure Homes to Lock Up and Leave 19 May 2003

Created with a range of security features, including home video entry systems linked to the development's electronically operated entrance gates, The Criterion by Countryside Properties is an exclusive new gated development located in a conservation area in the exclusive suburb of Sneyd Park, Bristol.

The Victorian façade of a former nursing home has been sensitively retained by Countryside, behind which seven two-bedroom apartments and one three-bedroom apartment have been created. This piece of history has been matched with an adjoining building of a new and contemporary design, where a further 10 two-bedroom apartments have been built.

Gary Freeman, Managing Director of Countryside Properties' South West Division comments, "For purchasers who are looking to buy a more manageable sized residence, issues of home security frequently feature high on the priority list. While the majority of buyers are mainly concerned with security while they are in their home, there is also a growing number of purchasers who are looking for a secure property they can 'lock up and leave' when going on a long holiday".
Gary Freeman continues, "We have experienced great interest in The Criterion from purchasers who are attracted to the safety features at this new development and the affluent and established location in which it has been created".

Features of the new high specification homes include a private terrace for the ground floor apartments, large bay windows, high ceilings, secure off-street parking, and a communal garden.

Internal fittings include luxurious kitchens, combining granite worktops and fully integrated appliances, along with state-of-the-art sanitaryware in the bathrooms.

The Criterion is situated in a prime location in Bristol on a private tree-lined road and is the first newly built development of apartments in this area for over thirty years. Sneyd Park is a cosmopolitan suburb, close to Clifton and the picturesque Durdham Downs. It is well located close to the excellent amenities of Bristol City centre, which include theatres, bars, restaurants and shops. The schools and educational facilities in the area are also very well reputed.

Bristol is bordered by the M4 and M5 motorways, providing road access to many parts of the country. There are two mainline rail stations in the city, with frequent trains to and from London, the North, the South East and the West Country. Bristol also has an International Airport just outside the city, with flights to most major European and UK cities.
