Crown Mews is located within a secluded part of the 55 acre Beaulieu Park estate, and will feature two to five bedroom detached and semi-detached houses. All of the nine homes are individual and are designed in the local vernacular to reflect houses found in traditional Essex villages.

Beaulieu Park was acquired by Henry VIII from Sir Thomas Boleyn in 1517. Henry and his Queen, Catherine of Aragon, used it as a summer residence, and it is said that he first met Sir Thomas' daughter, Anne Boleyn at Beaulieu Park. Here, it is alleged, he fell in love with Anne and courted her, before divorcing Catherine and marrying the doomed Anne Boleyn. On his first visit, to what was then 'New Hall', he exclaimed "Quel beau lieu", what a beautiful place, and the name Beaulieu was born and it survives to this day.
Facilities nearby include Chelmsford's excellent shopping, schools, sport and recreational facilities, as well as the benefits of the surrounding countryside. The A12, A130 and the A414 provide good road networks into nearby towns and motorways with a regular train service from Chelmsford to Liverpool Street Station, London (journey time approx. 40 minutes).
