Sales at Axis, the latest development by Countryside Maritime Limited on St. Mary's Island, are still going strong and the development is almost 50% sold. Last month the scheme launched its latest show home - the 'Latitude'. This house design attracted a lot of interest and the company has since seen a number of reservations.

Chris Crook, Managing Director of Countryside Properties, comments: "Interest in Axis has been high since it launched in the summer. The lifestyle on offer at St. Mary's Island is tremendously popular, as demonstrated by the success of our three previous developments here. We are delighted with the continued level of interest Axis is enjoying."

The Latitude house design is a three bedroom, two storey property, which has been popular with both first time buyers and people downsizing. The property cleverly combines traditional Kentish architecture with a contemporary twist, successfully uniting both a modern and a traditional look with the use of crisp cedar wood boarding and buff coloured brick. The interiors of the property boasts exceptionally spacious, open plan living space filled with natural light and high specification finishes.

St. Mary's Island, Britain's only planned new island community, forms part of the Chatham Maritime regeneration project in Kent. The 150-acre Island has been created on a scenic stretch of the River Medway where almost a thousand new homes and community facilities have already been built.

Axis will provide 62 two and three bedroom terrace and semi-detached homes and three and four bedroom detached homes.  Prices for the 'Latitude', a three bedroom house, start from £260,000.

Axis is located adjacent to the doctors' surgery, a planned new pharmacy and the primary school, together with other amenities which have been built or are under construction to support the thriving community.  St Mary's Island is a joint venture, known as Countryside Maritime Ltd., between Countryside Properties and the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).
