Countryside Residential (South Thames) Ltd. has just received planning permission for 10 substantial new homes to be built in one of the most sought after areas in the South East, located directly opposite Ascot Racecourse and within easy reach of Ascot town centre.
The five and six bedroom Queen Anne style houses at Springmead will range in size from 3,500sq.ft to 6,500sq.ft in generous plots of up to three quarters of an acre, with a completed development value of £15m. All of the houses will include formal and informal dining areas, master bedroom suites with dressing areas and en suite bathrooms, as well as high ceilings and other Georgian features. Several of the homes will also benefit from an au pair suite on the third floor with bathroom and kitchen facilities.
Richard Rawson, Sales and Marketing Director of Countryside Residential (South Thames) Ltd. comments, "Springmead is probably the most prestigious site to come onto the market in the region for several years and will be a showcase for our expertise in building homes of outstanding character that reflect local building traditions."
The region is known as the 'stockbroker' area of the Southeast and can be associated with high profile locations such as Wentworth, St George's Hill, Sunningdale and Henley. Ascot is ideally located for the M25 and M3 with excellent links into London, the South coast and Heathrow Airport. A mainline train service runs direct into London Waterloo (journey time approx. 50 minutes).
Houses at Springmead will be priced from approximately £1.5m to over £2m and are expected to be complete in Summer 2001.
