Kerry Manning (39), a licensed conveyancer, found a new home for her family purely by chance while compiling a conveyancing report for a client's new home at Countryside Properties' 'Sayers Place' development in Witham, Essex.
Kerry decided to go and have a look at the show home as she and her husband Richard had been thinking about moving from their three bedroom semi-detached home in Witham for some time. Having previously only looked at second hand properties, Kerry and Richard and their three children will be moving into their new three bedroom semi-detached house at Sayers Place when it is completed this spring.
Kerry comments, "There are four developers, including Countryside Properties, building new homes in the same area of Witham and I went to visit the show home and sales office of each developer. My husband has been working in the building industry for 15 years and he knows exactly what to look for when looking around a house, and when I took him to see Sayers Place he was equally as impressed as I was.
"Richard and I had been in two minds about extending our existing home instead of having to cope with the hassle of moving and inheriting other peoples decorating taste. However, as our home is brand new, it will allow us to spend time relaxing rather than countless hours spent redecorating, something that neither of us were particularly keen to do. Sayers Place is close to the A12 which is very convenient for Richard who works in London, and once we have moved, the children will have a short walk to school which is right next door to the development!
