19 July 2000

On 22nd July, Countryside Residential (North Thames) Ltd. will be opening its doors to the public who are invited to visit its spectacular new show home at Butlers Tye, St Michaels Mead, Bishops Stortford.

This promises to be one of the most impressive examples of luxury living accommodation in a stunning example of a traditional farmhouse-style detached house in one of the most attractive historic market towns in the UK.

The new show house is being created in a 'Latchmore' house design, a large five-bedroom house with its own triple garage, unique to St Michaels Mead. Every principal room in this traditional home has at least two windows or glazed feature doors that add to the elegance of the external elevations and flood the whole house with light. The large entrance hall with its fine feature staircase leads to the luxuriously proportioned drawing room and dining room for entertaining on a grand scale. All three bedrooms on the first floor have private bathroom facilities with a dressing room as an addition to the master bedroom suite. Two further bedrooms are on the second floor with an adjoining 'Jack and Jill' bathroom, ideal as a nanny suite or private space for teenagers.

There will be just three Latchmore houses in total at Butlers Tye, an exclusive residence of 26 four, five and six bedroom houses that have been carefully designed to reflect time honoured local Hertfordshire country houses. Traditional colours and materials and authentic architectural detailing have been key in the design of these prestigious new homes to ensure they blend seamlessly with their Bishops Stortford surroundings.

Helen Moore, Sales and Marketing Director of Countryside Residential (North Thames) Ltd. comments, "We have already received a great response from people all over Hertfordshire and Essex, both from interested prospective purchasers and local people who seem to be welcoming Butlers Tye as an attractive and prestigious addition to their town."

Butlers Tye is bordered by a 56-acre country park which incorporates a lake and is a haven for wildlife. Bishop's Stortford, one of England's oldest and most charming market towns, offers a diverse range of shops as well as a frequent train service to London's Liverpool Street (journey time approx. 40 minutes.). This line also links to the London Underground, on the Victoria Line at Tottenham Hale.

Ideally located for other means of transport, Butlers Tye is just 8 miles from Stansted Airport and 5 miles from the M11, providing a link to the M25 as well as a direct route into both Cambridge and the City.

1 four bedroom house is available priced at £435,000.
7 five bedroom houses are available priced from £485,000 to £575,000.
1 six bedroom house will be available soon.
