Helen Moore, Sales and Marketing Director of Countryside Residential (North Thames) Ltd. comments, "We would like local residents to visit Beaulieu Park as we feel the development itself exemplifies the way in which we want to contribute to the rising status of this historic Essex town."

Situated in a 55 acre landscaped setting, Beaulieu Park has rapidly become the most exclusive address in Chelmsford. Countryside Residential has taken care to build the houses in no less than 20 distinctive and different designs, from grand country houses with stone detailing and formal railings, to pretty village homes set behind hedges with stock brickwork and renders in traditional village colours.

At the entrance of Beaulieu Park a wide tree-lined avenue of houses leads to a crescent of 10 four storey detached houses which have views across the landscaped open space to New Hall school beyond. Situated on the crescent, 'The Aragon' is a stunning detached home where the emphasis is on separate formal and informal entertaining areas.

The lower ground floor comprises family rooms, including a kitchen/breakfast area, a family room and a garden room. Formal rooms are situated on the upper ground floor with a drawing room, a study and a dining room with a 'dumb waiter' linked from the kitchen. The spacious master bedroom suite, with ensuite bathroom and 12'4'' x 6'2'' dressing room is on the first floor, together with a guest room and its ensuite bathroom. Bedrooms three and four with a 'Jack and Jill' bathroom are situated on the top floor and are ideal for older children.

Helen continues, "The Aragon' has been an extremely popular house as it offers purchasers large, spacious rooms and the versatility and freedom to be adapted to suit their needs. The location and setting is also second to none and the variety of good local schools and an easy commute to London make it an excellent choice for families."

Beaulieu Park will incorporate an eight acre local park with lakes, extensive landscaping, traffic calming measures, 'good neighbour covenants', football pitches, a cricket square, all weather floodlit surface and sports pavilion.

Beaulieu Park was acquired by Henry VIII from Sir Thomas Boleyn in 1517. Henry and his Queen Catherine of Aragon used it as his summer residence, and it is said that it was at Beaulieu Park he first met Sir Thomas' daughter, Anne Boleyn. Here, it is alleged, he fell in love with Anne and courted her, before divorcing Catherine and marrying the doomed Anne Boleyn. On his first visit, to what was then 'New Hall', he exclaimed "Quel beau lieu", from which it has taken its name today.

Facilities nearby include Chelmsford's excellent shopping, schools, sport and recreational facilities as well as the benefits of the surrounding countryside. The nearby A12, A130 and the A414 provide good road networks to local towns and motorways with a regular train service from Chelmsford to Liverpool Station, London (journey time approx. 40 minutes).

The last four bedroom 'Aragon' house is available for sale at £445,000.
