Framlington Innovative Growth Award 2002 Judges
Countryside Properties was highly commended in the Framlington Innovative Growth Award 2002 which was held on Wednesday 8 May at The Ritz, in London. Countryside was one of just three commended companies. The Group was chosen from more than 700 small and medium sized enterprises who are listed on the London Stock Exchange and that fall within the parameters of Framlington's Innovative Growth Investment Trust.
The Award recognises those companies who have used innovative business practices and/or technology to create a market leading position that makes a significant contribution to the company's bottom line, shareholder value and to the community at large.
The judges included two fund managers from Framlington Innovative Growth Investment Trust, the Editor of Investors Week and a leading analyst from ABN Amro. They commented, "Countryside Properties won through because of its use of brown land, or land that has been reclaimed from other uses, to build its houses. With a shortage of houses and greenbelt land under constant pressure, more innovative use of town and derelict sites will be essential in the future. Countryside has delivered that and consistent profits."
