Homes that offer views, be it over water or countryside, are harder to come by, yet are more popular than ever, meaning that a property with a guaranteed view can command a premium price when it is sold on. At several of its developments in the North West, Countryside Properties has created homes that can offer this ideal. The Group, whose philosophy is 'thinking beyond today', aims to provide a high quality of life to people who live in its new homes, which is achieved not only through the design of its properties, but also through its environment.

Winwick Park near Warrington, is an 82-acre development of homes on former brownfield land, where new homes have been set within landscaped parkland that includes retained and imported mature trees. Trevor Stack moved to Winwick Park two years ago with his wife, Elsie, and their home overlooks stunning parkland where they can walk their two dogs.

Wychwood Park is a truly unique development. The setting incorporates wildflower and rough grassland areas, along with 'wildlife corridors' for animals to move between the larger areas of grassland, as well as a number of lakes and ponds.

Trevor comments, "Our last home was in a conservation area and so it was important to us that moving home wouldn't mean we would have to compromise on our surroundings. Apart from wanting good views, we needed somewhere to be able to walk our dogs, Charlie and Bella. Winwick Park is ideal for us. It's a peaceful, village-style environment with a friendly community spirit, but I can get onto the M62 within minutes to get to work. There is no through traffic on the development, which is reassuring in terms of safety, especially for my neighbours who have a young family."

At another development, Wychwood Park near Nantwich and Crewe, hamlets of new homes are linked by one private road and surrounded by a stunning, PGA standard golf course, offering views over the fairways and lakes. At Wychwood Park, Countryside has also developed an environmental strategy to encourage and preserve local wildlife.

This project has not only enhanced the natural ecosystem but has also created a spectacular setting in which to live. In the planning of the new development, existing wildlife, which includes a number of rare species, has been preserved and protected and a new habitat provided.

Ann Lever, Sales and Marketing Director for Countryside Properties' housebuilding division comments, "Wychwood Park is a truly unique development. The setting incorporates wildflower and rough grassland areas, along with 'wildlife corridors' for animals to move between the larger areas of grassland, as well as a number of lakes and ponds. The designs of the houses include large glazed features to make the most of the views and what is more, the panoramic views are guaranteed as the golf course facility and the local wildlife means that the surrounding environment will be protected from further development."

Winwick Park is situated just to the north of Warrington and is served by an excellent road and rail network. The development is close to the M6 and M62, which provide a direct link to Liverpool to the west (approx. 20 miles) and Manchester to the east (approx. 24 miles). A range of homes is available at Nostell Place from £212,950 to £429,950, and at The Priory from £120,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and from £230,000 for four-bedroom townhouse. There are a number of show homes to view, and part exchange is available on selected plots. For sales enquiries telephone: 01925 574 782 or email: nw@cpplc.com. Wychwood Park is close to major transport infrastructures such as the M6, which is two miles away, with fast routes to Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. Crewe railway station operates frequent main line service to London and Manchester Airport for both domestic and international flights. Homes are available at Delves Keep from £409,950 for a four-bedroom detached home with integral double garage. For sales enquiries call 01270 829 029 or 01270 829 022, or email nw@cpplc.com.
