Countryside Properties is continuing its support of local charities by raising over £3,000 for four Essex-based charities; Farleigh Hospice, Essex Air Ambulance, St Francis Hospice and the Brentwood Foyer.

The Brentwood-based developer offered each charity a table at its box at West Ham United Football Club for the recent match against Wigan Athletic, which they each auctioned to raise funds. The highest bidders enjoyed a champagne reception and three course meal before watching the match.

Alan Cherry, Chairman of Countryside Properties, commented: "We are delighted to be able to support local charities to help enable them to continue their invaluable services and we're especially glad to be able to offer seats in our box. Having grown up in East London and supported West Ham for many years, I am pleased that the supporters of these important local charities have been able to share this experience."

Jane Lambert of Essex Air Ambulance commented, "We have just received the cheque for a grand total of £750 for the donation towards the table in the West Ham box, which is really fantastic and much appreciated."

Countryside Properties is also working with Farleigh Hospice to design, build and maintain a special tranquil garden for staff and volunteers at the new hospice.  Essex Air Ambulance also received £2,500 sponsorship from Countryside to pay for new branded polo shirts so that the charity's volunteers could be more easily recognised at events.
