Children at the Fellowship of St Nicolas's 'After School Club' were delighted when a stunning, four foot tall dolls house was donated to them by housebuilder Countryside Properties Plc.
The enormous four storey Georgian style dolls house was designed in intricate detail as a model replica of one of Countryside's luxury new homes. This one was built to show purchasers at the exclusive Beaulieu Park development in Chelmsford, Essex, what the finished 'Aragon' house would look like on 'The Crescent' at this very exclusive address. After seeing it, the purchasers of the ten Aragon houses bought their new homes before they had even been built.
Helen Moore, Sales and Marketing Director of Countryside Residential (North Thames) Ltd. gave the dolls house to her colleague Richard Rawson, Sales and Marketing Director of Countryside Residential (South Thames) Ltd., as he was keen to give the house a new home at The Fellowship of St Nicholas in Sussex.
Helen said, "The house has now served its purpose, so we decided to donate it to this particularly worthwhile charity where we hope that it will bring years of pleasure to many children."
The Fellowship of St Nicholas was founded in 1939 and, together with the NSPCC, it works with parents and children to counteract the effects of poverty, disadvantage, neglect and abuse. A thriving 'After School Club' operates during school term time to offer after school care to working parents.
