Imagine being whisked away on an all-expenses paid trip to the ultimate urban destination of New York - a dream for many, but for Ryan Woor dreams became reality when he won a competition through Copthorn Homes.
Ryan won the competition by registering his interest online for the exciting new, ultra urban destination in London - Urban Island, Bromley-by-Bow, a new development of 47 contemporary-style, one and two bedroom apartments set within a conservation area on a curve of the River Lea on Three Mills Island next to the famous film studios.
Financial Controller for a London Public Relations firm, Ryan, 28 and partner James, enjoyed a weekend of sight seeing, shopping and festivities. The trip included three nights accommodation in the 'W' Hotel, Times Square and return flights to Heathrow.
Ryan commented: "The trip was fantastic; we packed so much into our three days and had endless fun. New York was buzzing with Christmas shoppers and looked beautiful with amazing lights and Christmas decorations everywhere. The hotel was really trendy and being right on Times Square, we were surrounded by hundreds of bars and restaurants.
"We did all the tourist things: Central Park, Times Square and The Empire State Building. The Rockefeller Centre had a fantastic outside ice skating rink and beautiful Christmas tree for the festive season, and of course we could not resist the shopping!"
Back home in London's fashionable and commutable East End, Urban Island is situated just five minutes Canary Wharf and within easy reach of the City and Central London in
Three Mill Lane. Setting new standards for living in the area, Copthorn Homes is providing its residents with an unusual combination of peaceful open green space and city living, the only apartment block on the historic island.
Sharp, eye-catching exterior design is at the heart of all the developments in the Copthorn Homes portfolio, and this striking landmark building is no exception. Arranged
over seven floors with three internal lifts, the building has many key external features which sets it apart from its neighbours, including the use of stepped and varying roof heights to provide depth and proportion and galvanised steel balconies, cedar wood panelling add to the dramatic, sleek lines.
If Urban Island does not quite fit the bill, Copthorn Homes also have a development on Chrisp Street, just minutes from Three Mills Island. At Eastpoint Apartments, set at the top of the landmark area known as the Chrisp Street Triangle, there will be 44, one and two bedroom homes, set around landscaped communal gardens
The marketing suite at Urban Island can be contacted on 0208 215 3377 for information on both these developments. Alternatively, visit the website at www.urbanisland.gb.com
