An elegant townhouse crescent has been created to form the focus of 'Winston Mews', an exclusive new selection of homes which have been built at Countryside Properties' 'Queen Charlotte's Place', a smart development situated within the landmark community of Kings Hill Villages in West Malling, Kent. Designed to echo the ever popular architectural style of the eighteenth-century Georgian home, the 14 three bedroom townhouses have been created over four storeys with elegant cornices of white stone and trimmings of white painted woodwork. In addition to the townhouse crescent, Winston Mews also comprises a further six houses and 12 apartments.
Phil Baxter, Managing Director of Countryside Properties' South Thames division comments, "This detailed but classically symmetrical Georgian architectural style was dominant in the 1700s and continues to be popular in today's housing market. Originally, the different storeys of the townhouses were used for staff accommodation and were ideal for formal entertaining. This adaptable nature of the townhouse continues today, as the layout can be altered to suit different lifestyles."
Each new home at Winston Mews has been designed to incorporate elegant details such as porticoes, railings, 'Juliet' balconies and sash windows. The townhouses offer spacious living over four floors with a basement level which will provide additional storage space, together with a utility room.
The fully-integrated kitchen and dining room are located on the ground floor, while the drawing room on the first floor provides views of the carefully created landscaped terraces which incorporate granite setts and herringbone pattern block paving. The third bedroom, study and family bathroom are also located on the first floor, while two further bedrooms, including the master suite with en-suite bathrooms, are offered on the top storey.
Kings Hill Village is set in a 650-acre landscaped environment which incorporates hundreds of acres of undulating terrain extending across large areas of protected heath, parkland and mature woods. A 6,600 yard, par 72 golf course adjoins a full length driving range with a short game practice area, putting green and a pavilion-style clubhouse, which currently provides meeting rooms, a bar and a restaurant.
The residential areas of Kings Hill Villages includes 1,850 homes, open spaces and play areas, with footpaths, bridleways and cycle-way networks linking the residential area to a new commercial community. Amenities include a large supermarket, nurseries, The Kings Hill Institute (part of The University of Greenwich), Kings Hill Nursery and Kings Hill primary school. On completion, Kings Hill Villages will also include a public house, a hotel, community hall and a medical centre.
Located on the site of a former airfield which was used during the Battle of Britain, Kings Hill Villages lie on the outskirts of the historic town of West Malling, close to the M20 with direct access to the M25. A shuttle bus service operates between Kings Hill and West Malling mainline railway station, which has direct links to London Victoria, Blackfriars and London Bridge (journey times vary from approx. 40 to 60 minutes).
Countryside's new homes are currently available at Winston Mews at Queen Charlotte's Place with prices ranging from £289,950 to £425,000.
