Copthorn Homes’ innovation and design flair is already well documented, however the award-winning Essex-based housebuilder has set a new precedent by winning a Stand Excellence Award for its unusual exhibition stand at the recent Property Investor Show.
The exhibition, held in late September at the Excel Centre in London, was the perfect vehicle for Copthorn Homes to showcase its new portfolio of developments throughout London and Kent. However, it was the design of its stand that caught the eye of the judges:
“We are delighted to be named as a winner of one of only three Stand Excellence Awards by Homebuyer Events, the organisers of the Property Investor Show,” confirmed Neil Armstrong, Marketing Director for Copthorn Homes.
Trio Graphic Display Ltd worked alongside the Copthorn Homes team to design the winning stand, which is chosen by an independent panel of judges from Homebuyer Events, who visit each stand without notification:
“The idea behind the design of the stand was to make it accessible to potential visitors,” explained Ken Smith, Managing Director of Trio Graphic Display. “To ensure that it had ‘polish’ and to create a feature of it without losing the impact of the graphics, we decided to use 15mm thick clear acrylic semi-circles. These were very much an embellishment, chosen because they would not encroach upon the visual impact of the material presented. This way, alongside a coffee bar area, we were also able to create a welcoming environment for potential buyers.”
The Property Investor Show proved the perfect platform for Copthorn Homes to unveil its latest portfolio of imaginative developments throughout London and Kent. These include West Five Studios, a sleek and contemporary range of two and three bedroom apartments at the heart of fashionable Ealing, Waterstone Park, the Company’s acclaimed development of one and two bedroom apartments, and three and four bedroom homes and townhouses in Stone, near Dartford, and New Holland Green, a selection of one and two bedroom apartments overlooking parkland at Hammersmith.
Also, coming under the spotlight for the first time, was The Academy, a collection of sparklingly original new and refurbished homes on the site of a former Edwardian school at Vauxhall; Three Mills Island, a stylish development of one and two bedroom apartments at Bromley by Bow, South Quarter, the new phase of apartments which follow hot on the heels of Copthorn Homes’ previous developments in Peckham, and Merton Abbey Mills, which will feature one, two and three bedroom homes on an historic site in SW19.
Other forthcoming developments will include Crisp Street, at Poplar, a collection of one and two bedroom apartments; Meath Gardens, a stunning high rise development of one and two bedroom apartments near Mile End Park at Bow; and St Anns, at Barking, a joint project with holding company, Countryside Properties:
“The exhibition stand perfectly reflected our philosophy of light, space and flexibility,” concluded Neil Armstrong. “We are really pleased that it was singled out for attention.”
