The Independent Directors of the Company note the announcement made yesterday by Rock Pacific Limited ('Rock Pacific') that it has decided not to accept the offer made on behalf of Copthorn Limited in respect of the 10,730,000 shares in the Company that it has acquired.
The Independent Directors continue to engage in discussions with Rock Pacific to enable it to consider whether it wishes to make an offer for the Company. There can be no certainty that Rock Pacific's interest will lead to an offer being made by Rock Pacific for the Company.
The Independent Directors continue unanimously to recommend the offer made on behalf of Copthorn Limited on 19 November 2004.
