Countryside Properties has been appointed to the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) new Delivery Partner Panel for both the South and the North of the country following a rigorous and highly competitive tender process.
Aimed at streamlining development on publicly-owned land, the panel is divided into three ‘clusters’ – northern, central and southern – to provide full national coverage. In addition to working on the HCA’s own projects, panel members will be made available to Local Authorities, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and other public agencies to deliver new homes through programmes such as Local Authority New Build and Public Land Initiative.
Richard Cherry, Deputy Chairman of Countryside Properties, said: “We are delighted that the HCA has selected us as one of the few developers on the panel in the two regions where we operate. We welcome the chance to work closer together with the public sector to make the best possible use of public land. We have specialised in the regeneration of local communities for many years and have been able to show that such regeneration boosts local economies and employment.
With our broad range of skills Countryside Properties is well placed to handle complex contracts. We have a flexible and pragmatic approach and, working principally with the HCA, we will help to increase the delivery of much needed new affordable homes between now and 2013.”
