On 12 November 2004, Countryside Properties PLC (“the Company”) announced that it had received a recommended cash offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company from Copthorn Ltd, a company which would ultimately be owned by the Cherry family and a subsidiary of HBoS. The Offer Document was subsequently posted to Shareholders on 19 November 2004.
