Rising star of the interior design industry, Kerry Tornetta, who is known for her work with the internationally-renowned fashion designer Ben De Lisi, has just completed the creation of two new showhomes at Countryside Properties' residential development, Sadlers Park in Buslem.

The three and four bedroom houses feature some of Kerry's most exciting designs to date, and are now availble for the public to view.

Kerry Tornetta commented on the interior designs for the two properties:
"The showhouses at Sadlers Park have been particularly exciting to design with a range of rooms which are functional yet allow maximum creativity in interior design terms.

"For the four bedroom showhouse the brief was to create a stylish and chic look throughout the house.  The hall, stairs and landing were all papered with a stunning taupe wallpaper which set the tone for the rest of the showhome interior.

"In the kitchen we wanted to create a fresh and chic ambience and so a glass dining table with chairs was used, as well as a cream sofa and chair.

The kitchen also has fabulous French windows overlooking the garden, so these were dressed with a striped voile curtain.

"In the lounge to make the most of the airy feel of the room, I used soft cream sofas with raised chocolate chenille and textured cushions to give it a feeling of plushness.

"In the first bedroom, a silver chenille headboard is set against a silver and ivory wallpaper to create a sense of glamour. The room was then finished off with a bespoke silver leaf mirror and a stunning light fitting.

"The children's bedroom follows the same theme as the rest of the house. The room features white voile curtains and an artist was used to handpaint a large 'twinkle twinkle little star' mural on the wall which was then dressed with star shaped mirrors.

"For the study, the brief was to create a sophisticated yet relaxing mood, so I used a faux leather dark brown desk with chrome legs.

"I wanted to create a more contemporary feel for the three bedroom showhouse and used subtle colours and interesting furniture styles to do this.

"The kitchen was given an unusual, round glass table which was complimented with pale green, full length curtains, and a beautiful wallpaper from Osborne and Little.

"The airy lounge has cream sofas and cream suede curtains with a brown suede band across the top.  The whole scheme was centred around chocolate, pink and green striped cushions which gave it a bold, yet homely atmosphere.

"The first bedroom was given taupe silk curtains with a pink middle band to compliment the chocolate and raspberry throw on the bed.

"In the second bedroom I combined green striped voile and a chrome pole, with an ivory silk roman blind to give the room a lovely light and fresh feeling."

Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director of Countryside Properties (Northern) commented, "With many new homes now sold off-plan, showhomes are an excellent way for buyers to get a better feel of how their property will look. It provides them with an opportunity to see the property layout and the quality of the fixtures and fittings. It also gives them an idea of how spacious and flexible their future living space will be.

"We hope that buyers will see from the showhouses the quality and size of Countryside Properties homes, and that Kerry Tornetta's designs will inspire prospective purchasers to buy one of the beautiful homes at Sadlers Park."
