Countryside Properties and Land Securities have received detailed planning approval for the next phase of homes at Springhead Park in Ebbsfleet Valley. The detailed permission, which sits within the existing outline consent for the whole of Springhead Park, includes a further 123 homes with associated highway works, car parking, services, infrastructure and open space including a play park. The permission also includes a linear park which extends to just over three hectares (7.5 acres) with 0.6 hectares (1.5 acres) of allotments.
Springhead Park is the first residential community in Ebbsfleet Valley and this brings the total number of homes with detailed planning approval to 500. To date just over 200 have been built. It is a parkland development located near to Ebbsfleet International Station which offers a journey time into central London of 17 minutes.
The homes in the new phase comprise a mixture of houses and apartments with a focus on family housing. For private sale there will be 13 two-bedroom houses, 35 three-bedroom houses and 43 four-bedroom houses. Twenty-five per cent of the homes, 32 in number, will be affordable and will be built to lifetime homes standard and Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The affordable homes will include one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom houses.
