Florida family find a new home in a prestigious gated community 30 September 2002

When the Ross family returned to England from Florida they were keen to find a prestigious new home similar to the one the family had been living in during their six years in America. Having lived in one of Florida's many gated communities, the Rosses were eager to find a similar secure environment for them to settle down in.

Kingswood Chase, a luxurious new gated development of magnificent five and six bedroom family houses in Ascot, Berkshire by Countryside Properties, first caught the eye of Managing Director, Malcolm Ross, his wife Janet and their three children in July last year.

Janet comments, "Malcolm and I used to live in Berkshire before we moved to Paris eleven years ago. We still have close friends living in the area and we knew that we wanted to return to this part of England when we came back from America, where we had been living for the past six years.  Living in a gated community during our time in Florida provided us with peace of mind and offered our three children a secure environment in which to grow up, and we wanted to find a new home in a similar safe setting. Our children's ages range from 10 to 17, so it was also important that we moved into an area that offered a range of good schools too.

"We decided to narrow our search to the Ascot area, and noticed Kingswood Chase. The development itself was well located for easy access to Heathrow and the M4, and Ascot has an excellent reputation for schooling in both the private and state sectors. More importantly, Kingswood Chase has been designed as a gated development, and each house is provided with a video link to the main gate, so we knew we would feel safe here.  We were also highly impressed with how spacious the houses were and how well they had been designed."

Janet continues, "Moving in was easy, and as we decided to buy the 6 bedroom show house there were no alterations to be made to our new home. The interior design had been done to a very high standard and all we had to do was hang the pictures on the wall!"

Each luxuriously designed home in the development has five or six bedrooms, double or triple garages, as well as its own au-pair suite on the top floor and space for a separate fitness suite.  Other features of these magnificent homes include impressive master bedroom suites with upstairs drawing rooms, balconies and period features such as large hallways, high ceilings and galleried oak staircases.

The houses have been designed in an elegant Queen Anne architectural style and some of the new homes even come with generous private gardens of up to three-quarters of an acre.  The homes are surrounded by magnificent trees and set in a tranquil area of Ascot, opposite Royal Ascot Racecourse.  The location of these homes, close to Ascot town centre, matches their prestigious design. Rich in culture, Royal Berkshire has superb facilities for cinema, art, concerts, festivals and theatre, as well as excellent facilities for shopping and for indoor and outdoor sport and leisure pursuits.

Ascot lies in the heart of Royal Berkshire's 'Stockbroker Belt', just 20 miles (approx.)from central London. It has superb road links to the M3, M4 and M25, providing easy access to both Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. Trains run frequently into London Waterloo (journey time approx. 45 minutes).
