A new doctors' surgery overlooking an attractive landscaped public square and a 300 sq m (3,229 sq ft) Costcutter community supermarket are the latest occupiers at Countryside Properties' Urban Hive development in Upper Clapton, London Borough of Hackney. The new 763 sq m (8,213 sq ft) surgery, the Theydon Road Health Centre, is due to open in mid July 2008 and provides much needed new accommodation for two separate local doctors' practices, The Clapton Surgery and The Riverside Practice. The City and Hackney Primary Care Trust has been involved with the scheme from the outset to provide this valuable local service.
