The first residents of Springhead Park, the initial development phase of Ebbsfleet Valley, have moved into the new community’s first homes. The event has been hailed a significant milestone in the regeneration of North Kent by joint development partners Land Securities and Countryside Properties. To date, 32 apartments and six houses have been reserved in the first phase of this scheme, with most households now living in their new homes.
Katy Goodman, Development Manager for Land Securities commented: “At Springhead Park, we have strived to create a vibrant and exciting new community. It has been some time in the making and will be 25 years before the entire Ebbsfleet Valley is completed. It will transform an area once a former quarry and industrial site into a thriving community with 10,000 new homes, 600 of which will be at Springhead Park, shops, offices, leisure and community facilities. It’s great to see Springhead Park taking shape and gathering momentum for the future of the entire development.”
As the community at Springhead Park begins to take shape, the first residents to move in have spoken of their hopes for the future.
Daniel Jeffery commented: “My decision to move here was based on the wider regeneration of the area and the community Countryside Properties and Land Securities are creating. It will be extremely convenient having shops and community facilities on site and great leisure facilities close by. It’s such a major improvement for this part of Kent and the investment will make a huge difference to the area as a whole.”
Daniel Jeffery continues: “Living here should get even better when more residents move in. There will be a real sense of community here to enhance what is already a very attractive living environment.”
Springhead Park will eventually provide a mix of 600 one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom homes. The homes will be centred around a large two and half acre new formal park Penn Green (equivalent to one football pitch) and a new 15 acre park which will run along the edge of development, together with a community centre, a place of worship and a doctor’s surgery.
Living at Springhead Park, residents will benefit from the huge investment and infrastructure improvements that continue to elevate and transform the area. Beautiful Kent countryside is on the doorstep, yet London and beyond are within easy reach from Ebbsfleet International station, providing a 17 minute connection to London St Pancras International station from late 2009.
Ian Hepworth, Sales Director for Countryside Properties commented: “Having our first residents at Springhead Park marks another major step in the regeneration of this site. Alongside Land Securities, we envisaged creating a brand new community and this vision is now being realised, as it is the people living here and their spirit that will make this development such a great place to live.”
For those wanting to be a part of the exciting new community at Springhead Park, Countryside Properties and Land Securities have recently launched the Southfleet apartments; a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments, with all of the two-bed’s boasting floor space over 700 sq ft and en-suites to the master bedroom.
Countryside Properties and Land Securities are offering a range of incentive packages including a full Part Exchange scheme. For further information please contact the sales and marketing suite on 01474 335195 or by visiting www.springheadpark.co.uk
