2004 Building Homes Quality Awards Judges
Countryside Properties has been recognised at the 2004 Building Homes Quality Awards with two major accolades: Best Company-wide Design Innovation and Best Company-wide Sustainability Strategy. The awards were held at the London Hilton Hotel on 12th October.
Regarding the 'Company-wide Design Innovation' category the judges said, "When it comes to company-wide design innovation, many housebuilders are expert in the rhetoric, but our judges felt that few deliver high-quality schemes time after time. Countryside Properties is among that elite." They added, "Good design is their leading edge; it is how they have found their niche in the marketplace. They masterplan: they think about houses not just as a set of houses on a plot of land, but as communities. They have a genuine commitment to design, and they think differently."
Commenting on Countryside Properties' performance in the 'Best Company-wide Sustainability Strategy' the reports were equally glowing, "Countryside Properties not only has sustainability strategies in place, it shows exactly how it is performing against them. Their appointment of a group sustainability manager shows a commitment to fulfilling any strategy that’s put in place. Housebuilders are broadening their definition of sustainability. For its all round commitment, Countryside Properties was a clear winner."
Philip Sellwood, Chief Executive of the Energy Saving Trust, who presented the award said: "Countryside Properties revealed a real working example for all building professionals who are looking to incorporate energy efficiency into their planning and building. Their winning strategy met a wide range of challenging targets, and provided the kind of creative solutions that will go a long way to promoting sustainability in the future."
