At last night's inaugural Building Homes Quality Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in London, Countryside Properties won the 'Best Training / People Development' award. This excellent achievement has been realised through effective teamwork, and congratulations must go to all our people who have been involved in the Investor In People initiative including the Focus Groups, the Countryside Academy, the induction days, Training to Succeed and the contributors to the newsletter to name but a few
The judges said, "With staff levels raising from 450 to 1,000 in the last five years Countryside realises good training programmes are no longer a luxury but are essential to ride out the current skills shortage. I would want to work for them. There's an opportunity to train and to learn, and it has terrific commitment from the top."
Countryside was also short-listed in the following categories:
- Best Company-wide Sustainability Strategy
- Best Options and Choices Initiative
- Best Health and Safety Approach
