Green Card, a service by Manifest and Environmental Governance Ltd, rates top UK Companies on environmental risk.
The research has been prompted by government pressure on institutional investors to invest in Companies who are socially responsible. Countryside Properties received 5 stars in the report against a sector average of just 3 stars, illustrating its leadership in the environmental field.
The assessment criteria involves all aspects of corporate management including policy, board responsibility, environmental management system and environmental performance; as well as employee communication, shareholder reporting, financial provisions, regulation & legal action, charitable & political donations and year on year reporting.
