COUNTRYSIDE PROPERTIES – THE BEST JUST KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER

Countryside Properties’, already multi-award winning development, South at Didsbury Point has scooped yet another award – this time for the Best Regeneration Scheme at the inaugural MEN Residential Awards. South is a new distinctive and stylish residential community, that has been created on the former derelict Withington hospital site and offers 332 individually designed homes from one bedroom apartments to four and five bedroom homes – suitable for most incomes.

At the same event, the leading developer also won Best Apartment for the architecturally stunning NV Buildings, Salford Quays.

South is no stranger to awards having won numerous accolades for regeneration and conservation including the coveted CABE Building for Life Silver Standard Award, for successful contemporary urban housing design in a suburban setting.

MEN Residential Awards judges were impressed with the ‘ambitious master planning’, ‘contemporary architecture’ and the obvious ‘great care and attention that has been given to the long term with new garden areas created and a 15-year conservation plan.’

Judges described the NV Buildings, winner of Best Apartment as a ‘development that is as stunning inside as it is out,’ and ‘a dramatic addition to the landscape in an area of outstanding buildings.’

Designed by Broadway Malayan, with interiors by world-renowned fashion designer Ben de Lisi, NV Buildings offer light filled apartments with wide south-facing terraces and an interior finish that is calm and sophisticated with high levels of technology.

Countryside Properties ITU 2004 Salford Triathlon has also been on a winning streak recently being awarded a special commendation for Best Event in the 2004 Manchester Tourism Awards and the event’s website winning the title of Best Tourism Website.

Ian Kelley, Managing Director of Countryside Properties said: “We are delighted with the range of awards here in the North West. The best part for me is in the breadth of categories from regeneration to quality and from community to environment – proving that being a successful developer is not just about bricks and mortar.”

The diversity of these recent awards from regeneration to quality, community and environment reflects and mirrors Countryside Properties’ well known ethos of ‘Thinking beyond Today.’
