Innovative housebuilder Copthorn Homes has brought down 'Kent' and 'Surrey', two 12-storey tower blocks in Penge, South East London. The demolition of Kent Towers and Surrey Towers, built in the 1960s, is part of the continued regeneration of the area.
In one of London's latest urban regeneration projects, Copthorn has demolished, brick by brick, the two tower blocks of the Groves Estate in the borough of Bromley. The buildings will be replaced with an attractive courtyard development of 27 one and two-bedroom apartments, 2 two-bedroom duplex maisonettes and 20 two and three-bedroom houses. The new homes will also include 60 off-street car-parking spaces.

Managing Director of Copthorn Homes, Tony Travers, commented, "We are looking forward to working with the London Borough of Bromley, to regenerate this superbly located district and breathe new life into the area."
