The launch of Phoenix apartments in Chertsey marks the final phase of regeneration by Countryside Properties for the Surrey town, offering one and two bedroom contemporary apartments to complete this mixed-use scheme situated around a new town square.

Countryside Properties is creating four new landmark buildings which will offer 69 apartments ranging from 439 sq ft to 861 sq ft and five new retail units, complementing the area.

A paved town square will also be created in front of the retail units, incorporating a seating area and a piece of sculpture.

In keeping with the architecture of the area, the building’s exterior features soft red brick and white rendered elevations. The contemporary exterior of the development is matched by the high-specification interior, ideal for modern lifestyles. Fully fitted kitchens with stainless steel appliances, as well as beautifully finished en suites to most of the bedrooms, serve to create a distinctive home.

Many apartments benefit from their own outdoor space in the form of balconies or terraces on the ground and top floors. This private space is enhanced with a gated herb-scented courtyard for residents’ use – a therapeutic getaway in which to while away the hours. Undercroft parking is also available at an extra cost at Phoenix apartments.

Tony Travers, managing director for Countryside Properties, comments: “The new town square will help to create a new focal point for the residents and once completed, the new apartments and retail units will combine to bring life into a once overlooked area of the town.”

A transport plan to upgrade the public transport system in Surrey is already in place and this aims to be completed by 2006. Future plans for rail access in the area include improving the existing train service to provide a high speed service between Chertsey and London Waterloo.

Phoenix apartments has easy access to Chertsey town centre for shopping and there are a growing number of bars, cafes and restaurants, a state of the art health club, a good range of high street shops and a Saturday market on your doorstep. Good connections by rail and road offer shopping and entertainment in Woking and Staines.

Slightly further afield, the designer boutiques and lively social scenes of Weybridge, Windsor and Kingston-Upon-Thames are in the offering. At phoenix apartments you are rarely more than an hour from the city or the sea.
