Bathrooms Play a Crucial Role in the Home Buying Process

No less than 20% of British homes benefit from a second bathroom, a figure that is rising by the year, according to a recent report by Nationwide.  This emerging trend is also highlighted by the fact that given the choice, an increasing number of people opt for the convenience that is afforded by having more than one bathroom in their home.  Indeed, having even more bathrooms is becoming an increasingly popular luxury and one that is reflected in the popularity of the new homes Countryside Properties is creating at the top end of the market.

An excellent example can be seen at 'Melrose House', Countryside's luxurious five bedroom family house in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, which has no less than four bathrooms as well as an additional guest cloakroom.

Phil Baxter, Managing Director of Countryside Properties' South Thames division, comments, "Bathrooms have evolved from a metal tub in the kitchen with an outside W.C. to becoming one of the key selling points of a home.  Developers have responded to this trend by giving bathrooms much greater importance in the design and layout of their new homes.

"Bathrooms play an important role in the overall look and feel of our homes. For us as developers, they have to be designed as rooms people really want to spend time in.  Through incorporating four bathrooms into Melrose House, we are offering an exceptional level of luxury, and the designer specification for each of the bathrooms has been chosen to provide exceptional rooms in which to relax and unwind. "

Three of the bathrooms at Melrose House are en-suite, with a family bathroom on the second floor, shared between bedrooms four and five.  Each of the bathrooms, and the cloakroom benefit from classic Vernon Tutbury white sanitaryware and full height ceramic tiles around the baths and showers. Further features include high quality Aqualisa power showers with double sized shower cubicles.

The rest of the house offers an abundance of space, including a striking and very large, open plan kitchen/breakfast/family room (including its own range cooker, American style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher) which opens out onto the garden.  It also has three further reception rooms on the ground floor and a second private staircase from the inner hallway which leads to an additional galleried room over the garage, which is an ideal space for a home office, games room or gym.

Royal Tunbridge Wells offers excellent road and rail links with the nearby M25, M20 and M26 motorways, all providing fast and efficient links to other parts of the South East.  A regular service to London also runs from Tunbridge Wells railway station to Charring Cross, which takes approximately 50 minutes.

Melrose House is available for sale priced at £850,000.  Full value part-exchange is also available. For sales enquiries telephone 01372 370 130 or email st@cpplc.com  Find out more about Countryside Properties at www.countryside-properties.com
