Set in the leafy green borough of Merton and only a 30 minute commute from central London, Abbey Mills offers the best in cosmopolitan living without the hustle and bustle of city centre life.

The award winning development by Countryside Properties has proved extremely popular with purchasers and is now 85% sold.

Arranged in three distinctive apartment buildings, Abbey Mills offers a mix of one and two bedroom apartments ranging from approximately 500 sq ft to over 1,150 sq ft.

For those looking for something more distinctive, duplex apartments arranged over two levels on the fourth and fifth floors are also available, where each spacious apartment provides living space ranging from 903 sq ft to a sizable 1142 sq ft.

With only a handful of apartments now remaining and a number ready to move into today, the three show homes offer the chance to see each of the apartment types available and illustrate perfectly how the space works.

Most apartments feature large open plan living and dining areas, full height glazing and outdoor space, ranging from a balcony, terrace or a garden, with some apartments on the top floor featuring a private roof terrace.

Tony Travers, Subsidiary Managing Director of Countryside Properties commented: “Many of our buyers have been local to Merton and have rented in the area for some time. The new apartments at Abbey Mills have provided a much needed break for first time buyers looking to get their foot on the property ladder.”

Abbey Mills also has an abundance of facilities within a short walk. A Virgin Active ‘Life Centre’ including swimming pool, luxury spa area, gym, workout studio and fully licensed café bar is within the development and a 132-bed Premier Travel Inn offers a handy extra bedroom for friends and family.

Tony continued: “Having all the facilities such as a supermarket, restaurants and a gym on your doorstep cannot be underestimated. For purchasers who work in central London it means more free time as they only are minutes away from their local shop and work out.”

The renowned Merton Abbey Mills weekend market, with its pretty Grade II listed buildings and famous water mill, is a few steps away and is perfect for the casual browser. Antiques, books, crafts, clothes and jewellery are all on display and there is a wide range of international food stalls.

There is also a Farmers Market selling organic produce and a wide selection of farmhouse cheeses. On the riverbank, you'll find your new 'local' - the attractive William Morris pub.
