This has certainly been an exciting summer for newlyweds, Rakhi and Pretesh Shah. The couple, from Stevenage, have just bought their first home together and have also just celebrated their marriage:
"We had both been living with our parents, whilst we chose our first home together” explained Rakhi, who is a greetings card designer and wholesaler. “We were both attracted by the idea of a home which was in a very commutable area, and also one which was brand new for the convenience it represented."
Copthorn Homes' popular Brooches Mead development at Great Ashby, Stevenage, proved perfect for the couple and in no time at all they had fallen in love with a three-bedroom home:
"It was lovely," continued Rakhi. "Not only did it have plenty of space but there was an integral conservatory downstairs and a dressing room built above the garage upstairs. Those points really sold it to us!"
The couple picked their new home off plan in order to reap the benefits of choosing their own kitchen cupboards, tiles and floor coverings, something that Rakhi found very exciting. Among the Options available to Copthorn buyers at Brooches Mead like Rakhi and Pretesh, were the possibilities of upgrading their kitchen with stainless steel appliances, choosing integrated kitchen appliances, upgrading the specification of the wall tiles to their kitchen and bathroom, opting for a burglar alarm and choosing a turfed rear garden, "It was great to pick exactly what we wanted," she enthused.
Copthorn Homes was also particularly helpful to the young couple as they negotiated their way through their first ever house purchase, “The sales team at the development did all they could to help us through what was a very exciting, although somewhat scary time as we had never bought a home before, however, with advice from our parents, and plenty of help and support from Copthorn Homes, we found it very simple and straightforward,” added Rakhi.
Pretesh, a Financial Services Associate, moved into the new home in June, whilst the couple planned their August wedding, and Rakhi moved in last month:
"I love this house and we are very happy here," she concluded. "The development is great for commuting as Pretesh works in London and I work in Hemel Hempstead, and it's near the A1(M). It's also great having all this space, particularly in the dressing room for my clothes. However, I think the more space you have the more you tend to fill it up, so, one day in the future, based on such a positive past experience, I am sure we would definitely consider another Copthorn home."
