The 50:50 joint venture is the first between Countryside and Crest and will comprise 400 new homes of mixed tenure.
The site will be regenerated into a parkland residential village comprising 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 1 to 5 bedroom family homes in a variety of elevational styles, surrounded by 110 acres of public open space.
Commenting, Graham Cherry, Chief Executive, Countryside Properties said: "Countryside and Crest are dedicated to the highest standards of design and construction quality. We are looking forward to working together on this exceptional landmark site which is an outstanding setting. Residents will be able to enjoy superb views and parkland surroundings with many existing mature trees. It will be one of the most imaginative redevelopment schemes in the area and should provide a real boost to the local community."
Commenting, Stephen Stone, Director, Crest Nicholson said: "We are delighted with this significant project which has come about through the close working relationship we have developed with Countryside. It is a great opportunity to show how a large site can be redeveloped in a sympathetic manner."
