Countryside Properties has launched its new Environmental, Social and Ethical (ESE) Report which highlights that the Group is an industry leader in design quality and place making, and holds a sector leading four CABE Building for Life Gold Standards as well as six Silvers. Indeed, we have received more than 130 design awards since we were the first company in the sector to start reporting on our sustainability performance in 2001.
The ESE Report also highlights that:
• We have a £5.8 billion development programme
• 84% of our residential development takes place on brownfield land
• For 6 years running our Accident Incident Rate has been below the national rate
• 84% of our customers would recommend us to a friend
• The Group has 4.9 m sq ft of commercial space that is programmed to achieve a minimum BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating
• 17,800 homes to be developed by the Group that will achieve at least Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3
• All our management practices are certified to international standards and Investors in People
We believe the Group has a strong base for the future due to:
• its recently completed refinancing which will enable it to take advantage of its substantial landholdings
• it being well placed to meet Government planning policy and regulatory requirements
• underlying demand for new homes being set to outstrip supply for many years to come.
• its highly skilled and experienced people and management team
• its core skills which enables it to deliver an integrated approach to development
• its ability to change and add value
The ESE Report also includes for the first time a five year track record which highlights the progress we have made in recent years.
