Countryside Properties has secured detailed planning consent for a new 67,270 sq ft warehouse facility for Coopers of Stortford fronting the A120 at its Nexus, Skyline 120 development, in Braintree, Essex.
Coopers has forward purchased the new high bay warehouse for its mail order operations and plans to occupy the building at the end of 2010. Construction work is due to start on site later this month and soon this impressive new building will be a familiar site to those travelling along the A120.
Coopers of Stortford is one of the largest privately owned mail order companies in the UK. It is a long established family business which also operates a traditional department store in the centre of Bishop’s Stortford. Skyline 120 is situated close to Braintree, at the junction of the A120 and A131, only 15 miles (around 15 minutes) from Stansted Airport and the M11 motorway.
Mark Chatham, Commercial Marketing Director at Countryside Properties PLC said, “We are delighted to attract Coopers of Stortford to Braintree from East Hertfordshire where there is an acute shortage of available industrial/warehouse land for development. Skyline 120 is now the leading employment park in the M11 corridor and home to an impressive list of major occupiers. The new Coopers building forms the first phase of the Nexus development where we have further land available for up to 85,000 sq ft of additional employment space.”
Joint agents for Countryside Properties, Joscelyne Chase, Glenny and Coke Gearing are able to offer freehold and leasehold design and build opportunities to provide industrial/warehouse and office space to suit individual occupier requirements. For further information visit www.skyline120.com
