Children from Winwick Primary School marked the expansion of Winwick village by switching on the Christmas tree lights at the new Winwick Park development.
At the invitation of developers Countryside Residential, 40 youngsters accompanied by parents and teachers braved the elements for an outdoor carol recital before enjoying muffins and mince pies in the warmth of the marketing suite.
Ann Lever, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Countryside Residential, says: "We are delighted to welcome children from Winwick Primary to the development, which is fast becoming an integral part of the local community. New families are moving into Winwick Park all the time and Winwick Primary will be the village school that many of their children will attend."
