City centre living in Cambridge is changing with a new landmark development from Countryside Properties.
Located on Brooklands Avenue, Accordia comprises 379 houses and apartments and has already been acknowledged for its progressive design with a RIBA design award.
The first phase comprises 73 properties ranging from five bedroom villas with copper roofs, four bedroom townhouses with outside space on every storey to a fully glazed apartment building designed around a solid green oak frame. ‘Air’, a five bedroom villa designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley, is now available to view as the show home and includes the latest in contemporary interior styling.
Chris Crook, Managing Director for Countryside Properties commented: “Accordia is a completely unique development, not only in terms of its ground-breaking architecture and internal designs, but also in terms of sustainable modern city centre living in the UK. Accordia has generated significant local and national interest, and generated 28 off plan sales prior to the opening of the show home.”
With properties ranging in size from 469 to 3,827 square feet, open plan living is at the heart of the home designs. Double height spaces, split levels and a series of balconies, terraces and courtyard gardens within the homes and apartments offer limitless opportunities to tailor your home to suit your individual lifestyle.
Masterplanned by awarding winning architects Feilden Clegg Bradley and supported by niche practices Alison Brooks and Maccreanor Lavington, the internal specification has also been developed by the architects who designed the properties.
The Feilden Clegg Bradley specification, as featured in the show home, includes kitchens with striking white gloss painted laminate unit doors and stainless steel handles, white worktops with walnut edging, a glass splashback and ‘A’ rated stainless steel kitchen appliances from AEG.
Throughout the home a combination of reconstituted limestone tiles and oak veneer strip flooring contrasts with elegant oak and glass staircases. A contemporary gas fire fireplace with low limestone hearth and pebbles forms the centre piece of the living room and under floor heating with individual room temperature controls is fitted throughout the home.
The bathrooms contain Italian sanitaryware from Flaminia, baths from Kaldewei and brassware from Borma. Luxurious reconstituted limestone bathroom floor and wall tiling, walnut veneer cabinets and fully glazed walls complete the look.
Prices at Accordia start from £350,000 for a two bedroom apartment. For more information, please contact the sales office on 0845 071 2065 or visit www.accordia.uk.com
