Purpose of the job
To provide commercial and financial management of some existing and forthcoming Countryside Properties (In Partnership) Limited contracts.
Main tasks
Liaises with estimating department to determine allowances in tender sum for specification and employer's requirements.
Prepares contract cash flow for Client.
Prepares Production Forecast cash flow and monitors on monthly basis.
Agrees main contract interim and final accounts including any variations.
Prepares and submits notices and applications for Client / Agent for Extension of Time claims.
Prepares monthly cost value reconciliation and other financial information.
Prepares Subcontract tender documentation, analyses tender returns and makes recommendations on subcontractor selection.
Attends subcontract Pre-Order Meetings and agrees any post tender variations and matters affecting tender sum. Prepares and monitors subcontract documentation.
Agrees subcontractors interim and final accounts including and variations.
Authorises subcontractors certificates for payment up to appropriate value.
Knowledge and Skills
Wide knowledge of traditional and other forms of building construction
Clear understanding of the construction and contractual process
Communication skills
Numerate and computer skills
Knowledge of relevant legislation, health and safety requirements and an appreciation of purchasers concerns
Ability to work to prescribed deadlines in a precise and logical manner
