We endeavour to further people’s quality of life by creating places with a wide range of social and community infrastructure such as schools, shops, neighbourhood centres, a high quality public realm and green open space that supports social activities. Such places bring people together and create high levels of social capital.
We are committed to design and place making excellence, which is integral to our approach to ‘added value’. This is demonstrated by the receipt of more than 130 awards for design quality since 2001. Indeed, the Group is experienced in ensuring that the mix of dwellings and tenures creates socially balanced communities, where it is not possible to recognise the tenure of the home by its appearance.
Countryside Properties has been engaged in sustainable development since the 1980’s when we built Chelmer Village in Chelmsford. We learnt a great deal there and from our involvement in a number of subsequent high profile projects at Great Notley Garden Village in Braintree, Greenwich Millennium Village in London and Chatham Maritime in Kent, amongst others. This extensive experience is invaluable in informing our masterplans and approach to new schemes such as Beaulieu Park in Chelmsford and the regeneration of Lower Broughton in Salford and the Grahame Park estate in Colindale, London.
We have highly skilled and experienced people and a reputation for integrity and good management practices certified to internationally recognised standards, including health and safety, environmental and quality. Through working in partnership with local communities we are shaping the places where local people will want to live for many years to come.
