  • To promote and build sustainable communities.
  • Monitor performance against Customer Care Charter.
  • Introduce Considerate Constructors Scheme [CCS] at all sites and maintain average scores.
  • Encourage charitable and community giving.
  • During the reporting period, in-house research revealed that 86% (2008: 84%) of purchasers were satisfied with the overall service provided by the Group after 6 weeks of occupation. In 2009, 84% of purchasers (2008: 83%) were prepared to recommend us to a friend.
  • Our average CCS score is 33 out of 40 compared to a target of 32, this performance compares very favourably with the Code for Sustainable Homes best practice benchmark of 32/40; and the industry average of 31.8. Our longstanding commitment to CCS has resulted in the Group receiving 17 Considerate Constructor Awards since 2004.
  • In 2009 we donated £47,061 (2008 - £80,548) to local and national charities. We also supported a number of community initiatives with a value of £9,902 (2008 - £43,930), in addition to 'time in kind' giving.
  • The Group does not make donations to political parties, organisations or their representatives.
