Introduction

Introduction
'Thinking beyond today' articulates our vision, which is to create exceptional places for people to live, work and enjoy for generations to come. Whether we are enhancing existing neighbourhoods or creating new communities we engage with our stakeholders to develop sustainable places with their own distinctive character and identity.

Improving quality of life

We strive to improve people’s quality of life by creating inclusive places with a wide range of social and community infrastructure such as schools, shops and neighbourhood centres, and areas of open space. We have also successfully introduced long-term management arrangements into our major schemes. We continue to differentiate ourselves by being able to deliver all the ingredients required to create new and regenerated communities.

We are committed to the highest levels of design quality and place making as demonstrated by our enviable achievement of receiving more than 110 awards for design quality since 2001. The Group is experienced in ensuring that the mix of building typologies and tenures creates socially balanced communities, including family accommodation in high density schemes.

Countryside Properties has been engaged in sustainable development since 1993. We have learnt a great deal from our involvement in a number of high profile projects commencing with Great Notley Garden Village in Braintree and subsequently with Greenwich Millennium Village in London and Chatham Maritime in Kent. We have a highly skilled and experienced management team, together with a reputation for integrity and good management practices certified to internationally recognised standards, including health and safety, environmental and quality. Through working in partnership with local communities in shaping the places where they live we are endeavouring to improve quality of life.

“In all our projects together they have generated a lasting commitment to regeneration of often neglected communities rebuilding them and providing great homes for the future. They’ve managed to combine this with a real eye for detail and the commitment to the social and economic fabric of the places in which we work.”
