This 128 acre site is being promoted jointly with Berkeley Group for mixed use development including the potential for around 2,000 homes with 40% affordable dwellings, employment uses, primary school, neighbourhood centre, public open space and new grade separated junction and link road.
The site has been allocated for residential development in the LDF Core Strategy adopted in 2007. The Council has been drafting a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which will create a detailed planning and design framework for the development, and guide the master planning principles. The SPD will be adopted in 2008 and planning applications will be submitted later in 2008.
