Indeed, we support the Government’s recently introduced step-change in policy in the delivery of new and sustainable communities, culminating in a target to move towards zero carbon housing within 10 years. It is proposed that this will be driven through regular enhancements to planning policy and building regulations, aligned to the new Code for Sustainable Homes. This will undoubtedly encourage higher environmental standards throughout the development industry.

We also recognise that high quality design is critically important to the lasting success of development, as is the integration of a full range of housing types and tenures to ensure the creation of balanced communities.

The Group is experienced in managing the timing and implementation of a wide range of social and community infrastructure, as well as landscaping, to add value and create a sense of place. We also understand the long-term management requirements of major schemes.
