Countryside Properties' vision, which is encapsulated by 'thinking beyond today', is to create exceptional places for people to live, work and enjoy.  Whether we are enhancing existing neighbourhoods or creating new communities we strive to develop inclusive places that are truly sustainable.

We support the Government's new Code for Sustainable Homes (the Code) which will undoubtedly encourage higher environmental standards throughout the development industry.  Furthermore, it is proposed that this will be driven through regular enhancements to planning policy and building regulations.  The transparency of policy that the Code proffers gives the industry greater certainty moving forward in how we plan and build major schemes.

Experienced

Countryside Properties has been engaged in sustainable development for a number of years.  We have learnt much from our involvement in a number of high profile projects such as Greenwich Millennium Village, London and Chatham Maritime, Kent.  We strive to improve people's quality of life by creating residential areas with their own distinctive character and identity, areas of open space, and a wide range of social and community infrastructure such as schools, shops and neighbourhood centres.

"It is highly instructive and positive to note how the big developers are doing their bit to promote sustainable communities and urban regeneration as key economic, social and environmental drivers.  It is one thing talking about it, another doing it - but Countryside does it big time."
