Countryside Properties has completed over £30m of new build and refurbishment works at Longwood Park, previously known as the Common Road Estate, Langley in Slough.

Longwood Park

192 flats in two 13 storey tower blocks have been refurbished including rain screen cladding, new double glazing, central heating and kitchens and bathrooms.  Four tower blocks have been demolished and 152 new flats and houses have been designed and built for rent and shared ownership, together with 40 flats and houses for sale.

A sports changing room, new play facilities, a resident's community resource centre and a local housing office have also been provided within the scheme.

A locally recruited Resident Liaison Officer and comprehensive tenants choice scheme enabled residents to be kept informed as works progressed and gave them choice over the design and finish of their new homes.

  • At the UK Housing Awards 2006, Longwood Park received an 'Outstanding Achievement in Social Housing' Award.
