Christian Fields, Gravesend

Working in partnership, Moat and Countryside Properties are currently undertaking the £60m regeneration of the Christian Fields Estate in Gravesend, Kent.

The development comprises 425 high quality new homes, of which 213 will be for outright sale, providing cross subsidy for the 212 rent and shared ownership properties. As part of it’s ongoing commitment to creating homes where people want to and can afford to live, national Regeneration Agency English Partnerships have also contributed £9.95m to the successful delivery of the project.

Coopers Road, Bermondsey

Coopers Road involves the phased replacement of four 1960’s blocks over the next five years with 154 new flats and houses.

The new homes, which have been designed with the extensive involvement of residents, will be environmentally friendly; with high levels of energy efficiency, reduced water consumption and the use of renewable and recycled building materials. Each phase has been designed with a landscaped internal communal courtyard with play area to ensure a safe sustainable environment for the residents.

A Combined Heat and Power Plant has been installed which provides hot water and heating to all the residents on demand. As a by-product of the heating system the power created is used to power the street lighting on the development.

Crossways Estate, Tower Hamlets

On completion in 2010, the works will include the complete refurbishment of three tower blocks and the demolition of semi-derelict podia garages and houses. There will be 414 new homes and 296 refurbished properties built on behalf of Swan Housing Association. The development is currently on Phase 2, which involves the construction of 11 no. 3 and 4 bedroom houses, 8 no. maisonettes and 83 flats as part of the Crossways regeneration project.

Sedgwick Street, Hackney

Countryside Properties has joined forces with Servite Houses to create a landmark new development in Sedgwick Street, Hackney, East London.

This mixed use scheme will comprise 55 one, two, three and four bedroom new homes for shared ownership together with commercial space.

The 6 and 12 storey building has been designed by Stephen Davy Peter Smith Architects and adds a bold and dominant element to the street scene with striking smooth blue brickwork that is complemented by timber cladding.
